Patriot Utilities

Hydro Excavation

Extra Services Include

Utility Daylighting & Locating

Safely expose underground utilities like gas lines, electrical conduits, fiber optics, and water mains before drilling or digging.

Slot Trenching

Create narrow, accurate trenches for pipes, conduit, and utility lines — perfect for installations with minimal disruption to the surface.

Remote Excavation

We can reach areas that are hard to access — behind fences, in narrow alleys, or near buildings — without bringing in heavy equipment.

Cold Weather Digging

Frozen ground? No problem. Our hydro vac equipment works in all temperatures, preventing winter slowdowns.

What Is Hydro Excavation?

Hydro Excavation is an advanced excavation process that uses pressurized water to loosen soil and a high-powered vacuum system to remove the debris. Unlike traditional excavation (which can damage pipes, cables, or the environment), hydro excavation minimizes risk, increases accuracy, and reduces cost in the long run.

This technology is especially valuable when digging around sensitive underground utilities, in tight spaces, or during cold weather. It’s fast, clean, and doesn’t leave your site looking like a warzone.

How Does Hydro Excavation Work?

Water Jetting: A high-pressure water hose is used to break up the soil.

Vacuum Extraction: The loosened soil is immediately sucked up into a debris tank using a powerful vacuum system.

Disposal: All debris is neatly stored and removed from the site without a mess.

The result? A clean, precise hole or trench with zero damage to underground infrastructure.
